Ah, #MintMobile's "Home MINTernet" deal is only $30/mo for the first three months, and then goes up to $40/mo for the next 12.

Still, not nearly as grubby as other providers more than doubling their rates after 12 months. Good grief.

I'll probably keep T-mo at home, as it's only $10 more.

Instead, they're quadrupling their rate after three months? I'm not sure I see your point.

@amin

Oh, sorry, $30/mo for the first three months.

Of course, you being you, there's a chance you already knew that, and were being #pedantic. XD

@rl_dane

No, I completely seriously took you too literally. :)

@amin

Ah, the fun of being #neurospicy-adjacent, you either go totally pedantic, or take things way too literally. XD

I relate, I relate!

@rl_dane @amin oh, but that was totally not deducible from the orginal post; $lump_sum for the first X months and then monthly rates is a normal thing
@rl_dane there is literally one internet provider in my neighborhood that is real ISP that isn't just satalite internet.

And that is xfinity Comcast :(

Cc @amin cause I saw he replied in this thread

@fbievan @amin

Only satellite? You don't have cellular-based internet providers like T-mo?

@rl_dane @amin I guess they do exist, but cellular in my area is not good either.

@fbievan @amin

I thought you were in a big city?

@rl_dane @amin

Nah I'm like 1hr away from Houston tho.

Some areas are wayyy better than others
