We(*) are finding it tricky to find an appropriate instance of #PeerTube for me to start posting short maths-based videos.

In parallel with us looking and checking out tags, etc., does anyone here have any thoughts to share?

TIA.

@ColinTheMathmo @virtuosew I think makertube could work. It's for creative stuff, but they accepted my interpeer account

@ColinTheMathmo @virtuosew

It's not maths-specific but https://tubefree.org is a good general PeerTube server?

Tube Free

Tube Free is a general on boarding Peertube instance. Backed by BT Free, a nonprofit dedicated to digital privacy rights, advocacy and consulting.

@FediThing Thanks ... we'll check it out.

@FediThing Ah ...

Alas ...

@ColinTheMathmo @virtuosew Ah, sorry. I've listed a few others at https://fedi.tips/how-to-publish-videos-and-audio-on-peertube but they may be too specialised in different areas or also based in US. If worst comes to worst also worth considering own instance through Fedihost (no relation) who have a very low entry price and handle all techy stuff behind scenes. (They are in Canada.) A good European host would be Cloud68 but their entry price is higher (though price for what you get is similar).

I have an account on <https://tilvids.com/>, which claims to have an educational focus, but I don't use it enough to be able to either recommend or disrecommend.

@ColinTheMathmo @virtuosew I would go with making my own instance (behind clouldflare) and hosted on a hetzner machine.
