Made date scones with mini chocolate chips. I've only made scones once and my dough was a little dry. They're in the oven so fingers crossed that they don't come out like hockey pucks.

I also bought maple syrup from one of the guys at square dancing on Wednesday. I think I'll make a glaze for the scones with it. #food

Overbaked, so I'm not bothering with the glaze. Still delicious and surprisingly not dry. I think I'll keep trying this recipe, but will lower the oven temp and watch them while baking. Photo is a gluten free date and chocolate chip scone on a plate. A piece of the scone is broken off and I'm holding it over the rest. I need a cup of tea with this treat. #food #gf
