Question: Have you seen any good static infographics communicating current COVID-19 risk or vulnerability (e.g. risk groups, exposure, severity)? I'm specifically *not* looking for pandemic visuals.

If you have examples, please share links. 🙏

@alelazic Tempted to boost, but I'm not sure I understand. How would that exclusion criteria work?
@MartinVuilleme I don't need visuals published, for example, during 2020 to mid 2023 or those that relate to the pandemic context specifically. I'm looking for something from the last couple of years, after the WHO declared the end of emergency. COVID still circulates and there are certain groups of people who are at a higher risk if they contract the disease. Visuals should be more recent and reflect evolved understanding of COVID / newer treatment options / updated risks etc.

Hmm, interesting question. My impression is that the organizations and people who are still talking about COVID emphasize messaging abourt preventing transmission or avoiding Long COVID (and relative risk isn't a central topic).
@alelazic @MartinVuilleme
But one place to look might be Europe PMC's advanced search, where you can search specifically the figures.
@nyhan @MartinVuilleme I share the same impression after my (so far mostly failed) searches. It's seems post-pandemic public-facing communication has been text-heavy and infographics are harder to find. I'll look into Europe PMC, thanks!

Michael Hoerger has done some work on cancer patients who are vulnerable to COVID and other infections. I think there are probably some graphic design elements (not necessarily about relative risk specifically)

Just went down a Hoerger rabbit hole ;)

Although TBH the one figure isn't a shining example of patient-oriented infographics (and was not supposed to be)

@nyhan @MartinVuilleme Michael Hoerger is a good lead, thank you!
@alelazic Thank you for the clarification, I see what you mean now!

COVID Hazard index has a few infographics in its report. I rely on the provincial cards, but honestly mostly ignore its index and focus on the 1 in x people are infected numbers
