Steven D. Brewer 🏳️⚧️All of the faculty in my department at #UMassAmherst got some of the sycophantic AI-generated phishing spam. I've been seeing this stuff for so long, I didn't think much about it. But for most of the faculty it's something new. Ugh.

@stevendbrewer Sadly, the lessons of Usenet have a wisdom that is much needed today, but largely forgotten. Netiquette, the origin of spam, trolling, are lessons now lost like tears in the rain. They were drowned out by the September that Never Ended.
