@weirdofhermiston They are so adorable and bring so much comedy. This is one of probably hundreds who have totally taken over the underground of the campus where I work--I see their heads pop up everywhere when I walk to my office or class, and it just makes me so happy.

@Lstn2urmama They do resemble gophers and prairie dogs, though these little guys ("Belding's" ground squirrels) are a different species altogether. They are all so adorable. šŸ„¹
