Sigh.

I guess I’ll have to endure watching #Insiders to see the panel try to explain away the massive #LiberalParty collapse.

@John
Oh that’ll be a laugh a minute. I wonder if they’ll also try to hitch their wagon to ON.

@John

The recent West Aussie rejection of the Libs was explained by a Lib as being down to gun control laws and (from memory here) Liberals not being anti-woke enough.

It was kinda funny to watch Murdoch's brainwashing turn the Liberals into self-hating MAGA wanna-bees. But a worrying view into the vulnerability of human cognition to manipulation too.

Would like to hear if similar delusions are proffered in South Australia.

@John I endured to see what they said about SA then Freedom Boy turned up and that was enough.😉

#Libs are now seen as useless with petty infighting consuming them and policies only negative, no future planning only personal self enrichment.

Suspect it is very optimistic to imply 'protest votes' account for #PHON success. It is more serious than that, there are many malcontents only too pleased to support racism and guns, such as the sovereign citizen rabble. PHON bangs the drum that immigrants are the reason, which is nonsense, but they want to believe it.
People are rightly frightened by this present world and the instinct to shut it all out of Australia is not unnatural. They forget that PHON
supported and encouraged exactly what has caused this to happen through #USA and #Israel warmongering.
But also many strugglers disappointed and disillusioned with #Labor broken promises. Just a few examples:-
They see big companies like Colesworth making huge profits while cheating on so called 'bargsin ' prices, while they can't cover cost of groceries, can't even dream of a roast on Sunday.
People still having to work multiple shifts to support families then seeing MPs cheat with expenses. MPs having multiple houses through neg gearing etc while they struggle to pay rent.
Families broken by gambling yet children still exposed to ads at every TV sport aired.
Hopes for Aged Care and NDIS improvements shattered by new cost cutting systems and rules making for hardship of increased expense and loss of previous services.
Labor better take this as a strong warning, not a triumph. #Greens have serious work to do nationally.

@RHW

I think that 75% of Paulines vote are #Libs who see how useless their party is but just can't bring themselves to vote #Labor or #Greens - so they go for the other #RWNJ party - #OneNation.

Anyone who had an original thought in their head in #LiberalParty lost their seats years ago. What's left are the very dregs. Unemployable outside of politics & only in it to rort the taxpayer.

@John @RHW
I would not discount the fact that a lot of them are also being influenced by Far Right Propaganda coming out of the USA, via a Dark Money and PR networks.

@John @RHW
I can’t help but think that #Racism is at the root of it all. I lived racism back in the 60s, I escaped it because ‘darker skins’ (literally that’s all it takes, the colour of one’s skin) immigrated to Australia, but I’ve never ‘unseen’ it. Racism came and went in waves depending on the mood of the ‘white’ people during tough economic times. It’s the same thing happening now. IMO, we are living through a period when racism is ‘coming out’ because it’s always been here, since Cook’s landing.

I’m always shocked when I see it. Something I didn’t feel as a kid in Europe even though racism was there as well. Maybe I was too young to understand it or know it. I’ve also felt ‘reverse racism’ when just being polite in public is perceived as condescending behaviour, only a few times in my lifetime mind, so not prevalent by any means.
