What happens if you move a file into a folder that is currently being moved (mv command) between drives (it’s multiple gigabytes, so takes a while)? Seems there’s a good chance it’s going to get deleted (or is that only if you’re using SSHFS?).

@helianthropy the more interesting question for me is, why would one do that? I mean, I know I wouldn't do that, so I'm curious why others would.

@enshroudedshrew Well, past me would if I forgot to put a file in the folder I was moving and hoping it might get picked up for the move.
