It's a good solid name. Probably does what it says on the (baking) tin, right? I've just started chapter 2 and am interested to see where this goes. So far there's been singing, random police violence against those protesting the singing (à la Mr Punch), and now fighting words aimed at the Muffin Boys (presumably unimproved) #chpt2 #nicholasnickleby

TIL Matilda read Nicholas Nickelby when she was 4.5 years-old. So I'm a little behind schedule:) Miss Trunchbull has name-checked Wackford Squeers as an inspiration already so I can guess where this is going... (I took a break to watch the musical and re-read the novel.) #chpt8 #nicholasnickelby

Nicholas is back in London quicker than I expected. Now we have the MP Mr Gregsbury (with gammon tendencies, ie empty political jargon) and there's the incredible phrase "moist acts of parliament" . Yikes. It's certainly very memorable! #chpt16
