I'm trying to be careful how I talk about #OilPrices. I want #Americans to understand that there is a #CostOfWar in their lives, even if it's miniscule in comparison to the impact on people's lives in #Iran.

I want to avoid helping the #USA use oil prices as a #pretext for reopening the #StraitOfHormuz by force. And I worry that's the takeaway most Americans would have.

@AstroMancer5G I think the fallacy is linking "opening the strait" with "lowering oil prices". #USA can try (and might be successful) to open the water way, that won't prevent #Iran from targeting energy infrastructure in the #gulf (they can even attack desalination plants in the region) rendering the whole region uninhabitable (!). There won't be #oil to "transit safely" through the so called "strait" 🙄. Iran's back to the wall, bombed daily, and decapitated already. #StraitOfHormuz
