Vereesh@apzpins it definitely is. I don't know when it was created, but my mother had one exactly like that in the late 70s, early 80s. The design is probably older than that. I've never been able to trust thin glass with hot coffee, personally, but it is a great looking item. There are similar ones for serving red wine.
@temporal_spider Mine came with a small booklet that explained its history. The original is from '41 and its made of laboratory glass, so it can easily last in temperatures coffee brewing involves.
