@xtaran asks:

Q3. If you have multiple gearings on your cycle (e.g. front and rear derailleurs or derailleur plus a gear hub), what are they and how do you usually use them? Bonus points if your cycle has more than two gearings.

@xtaran @bikenite A3. I'd love to see examples of cycles with more than 2 gearings!

We have a variety of bikes, most with a 1x or 2x setup in front, and then 8-11(?) gears in the back. We have 2(?) in the family that have a 3x in front.

One bike has a 1x in front, and an Enviolo CVT type hub in the back. I find it a little limited in terms of range, but it is fun and nice to be able to have infinite shifting and to be able to change ratio while stopped.

I had one bike that used to be a 2x in front, and I had it changed to a 1x. I don't miss that front derailleur setup!

@ascentale @xtaran @bikenite #BikeNite A3 other bikes; tandem that's 3x8, although it often chooses to be 2x8 - but hasn't been ridden for some time. An old road bike that only ever gets used on a trainer is 2x9 (I think, maybe it's 2x10) and the fixie is obviously 1x1
