@julian @JulianOliver all this stuff is useful, but ignores existing non-government support.

Step one has to be using existing non-government organisations that haven’t waited for a crisis to organise. Your local Lions, Rotary, neighbourhood centres, school p&c, food banks etc. have built the connections and relationships already to support local needs. It is fun to imagine end of the world stuff but these local groups already know who to call and how to help.

Throw your ability to help in with them, ask for your needs in with them. They will be already set up to direct help where it is most needed or coordinate new needs.
