Damn does it feel good taking that fucking opentowork frame off my LinkedIn and then closing the window until the next time I need that dumpster fire of a social media site. I still refuse to look at the "feed" or really spend time engaging in anything. My mental health is better for it.
But I have to say... LI did help me connect with people who helped me find a job. It was a stranger answering one of my Call To Action posts that told me about NinjaOne. Nobody that was in my network, just someone who found a connection to me and passed me along the general career website, and that I might find something there.
My application to NinjaOne was a cold-call, submission through the system, up against APT and AI and everything else... so I can honestly say that it was my actual abilities and personality that got me in and through the interviews.
In a job market where everyone is saying only networking will get you a gig, I rose above the noise as a diamond in the rough.
Thank you NinjaOne for the opportunity!
