@jpm Poor little sparkles emoji, which never hurt anyone, is now doomed to be associated with AI slop forever …
But I do agree with your main point - I'm never going to use any so-called "AI" assistant/chatbot/LLM.
oh no, that's sad 😔
OooOooo shiny <-- idiot bait
I was editing a document on a friends computer, and this popped up in the middle of the screen next to a A.I. "improve this" button, which blocked my view of the document I was editing, with no obvious way to close it. You saw the Mark Of Cain and I saw the Hand Of The Enshittificators... At least Clippy could be closed!

The mark of the slopfairy, sprinkling bullshit all over.
@jpm You will never *intentionally* click it.
Enough developers and product managers have their bonuses tied to increased usage of said features that they'll do their best to use delayed load and other tricks to make you click it by mistake
*scoffs*
Don't be ridonkulous.

😳 ... um ... well, i never ...
@jpm Floating buttons like this in web design history have always been "uh, let's bodge this into place". Evidence of a lack of consideration and an unwillingness to make functionality 'core' long term.
See: 'Like' buttons pinned to the side of the viewport. Cookie policy interactions floating over primary content.
