@mildorville awesome! I remember in 2013 or so, joining the fledging R User Group in Manila. Your comment about it being mostly industry in PHL was true then too. I was an outlier using R for agricultural research at an NGO.
We were meeting in little cafés first, then MS sponsored and now I'm unsure, I've been gone too many years now. It really was fun to connect with the broader R community while I was living there.

Congrats on getting this initiative started. I wish you continued success!
