There are all of these efforts right now to "protect kids" online, and by doing so, the Internet is being restricted and hurt for everyone, not just kids. At the same time, people are turning a blind eye to the most notorious harmful site on the Internet: Twitter. Why do we use Discord as the bogeyman (Discord is bad, even before the age verification, but it wasn't even close to as bad as Twitter, and neither site was meant for kids to use) Twitter is the biggest cesspool on the Internet. It is filled with Nazis, fascists, child pornography, deepfakes, misinformation, and more. With Grok, Twitter is now producing hundreds of pieces of non-consensual sexual images (including child pornography) every minute. Fully-clothed users on the site are being raped by other users at complete random.

If someone came up to you, forcefully took all of your clothes off, and then took a picture (maybe even a video) of you, then posted it to their social media, wouldn't you consider that to be rape/being violated? Wouldn't you want to do something? Why are people okay with this? Why do people even use Twitter still? This feature was recently moved behind a paywall, due to the controversy, which makes it worse, as now people are paying money to rape people. It sadly isn't too surprising, as the site is currently owned by a narcissistic Nazi conman, who has gone to Epsteins island multiple times, and most likely raped at least 1 child there. Twitter is probably the least safe site for children. These people who are complaining about the Internet being unsafe are turning a blind eye to this. They should all be demanding that Twitter get shut down, and Musk be given multiple life sentences. The United States isn't the only country condoning this. Every country that isn't blocking Twitter is complicit.

Remember how many websites the United States seized for hosting child pornography? Why aren't they going after the biggest child pornography site on the Internet? Forget protecting children online, this legislation isn't doing shit if it can't make Twitter cease to exist. Twitter is probably what caused this legislation to spawn in the first place, yet it is being completely ignored. Also, we don't need the Internet to become a surveillance system, where people can't search for anything a 4 year old shouldn't see. We need to go back to how people raised their kids in 1991, and actually parent. If you don't want your kid getting exposed to things you find inappropriate, you should put the effort into making sure they are not connected to the Internet 24/7, with absolutely no restrictions, maybe set some Internet filters. Be an actual parent, don't let Google and Apple be your parents! Check in on what they are viewing from time to time.

Forcing this on the world is pointless, as it can easily be bypassed (fake ID pictures, VPNs, sneakernet, bad content detection algorithms) but at the same time, it makes it harder, if not impossible, for sites like the Wayback Machine to work properly, as they can't automatically bypass every age verification block (if they could, then most users would have software that could do this, and these laws would be defeated, and less effective than prohibition laws were at any point) These laws are actively destroying the open web, and yet, they won't even go after the actual problem. Additionally, Musk has not only allowed this to happen, he has embraced it, and publicly promoted it numerous times. This was not an accident. Musk is a very dirty man. #twitter #endtwitter #childsafety #grok #musk #ageverification #deadbirdsite #internet #parenting #censorship
