Last night at Cubs was a Meeting of two distinct parts.
We started by investing 2 of our Group’s Leaders, one from Beavers, the other my new Cub Section colleague.
Conveniently it coincided perfectly with our plans to hold the Investitures of our newest Young People next week, so it demonstrated to them what was involved.⚜️

2/2 The rest of night was working through parts of the Navigator Staged Badge, so drawing maps, learning about map keys & basic compass use.
A quick quiz then followed before we finished about what equipment is needed for a night hike.
And it seems that no matter how many times I say “night hike” this Term there always is someone who asks “What’s that?”
…So, naturally I can’t resist replying “a hike at night”… 🤡

Last meeting for me before Easter break next Tuesday, I've no idea what to do yet; probably something Easter adjacent?
I have three parents helping but just me leading. Two have expressed an interest in helping 'more often' so I need to encourage them to consider being leaders!
