Last year I thought I saw a newt larvae at the brownfield site near where I live but I wasn’t confident in my ID but tonight we finally saw some adults in the same location! They haven’t been recorded here before so of course I’ll submit my record.

@andy I didn't go out specifically to look for newts, just out for a little night stroll now that it's no longer freezing cold at night! I have been regularly checking the ditches for them ever since I saw the larvae though, this is just the first time getting lucky!
