#ALERTA - #ICE abduction in Seattle's U District on greek row - Rapid Response failure
Earlier this evening ICE/CBP goons were observed abducting a young woman from college's greek row area.
Students on the scene were not brave enough to protests the kidnapping and the abductors made it successfully away with little to no resistance from the local community.
Seattle officials say they don't support ICE/CBP activity, they also don't materially oppose it as seen today.
UPDATE - Major update in this story, the young woman was arrested on a legitimate arrest warrant and charged with a comprehensive criminal investigation(alleging Epstein class behavior).
So by all accounts her due process is being respected and she's heading to federal court and not ICE custody.
However, these likely were still ICE/CBP goons and they may not always have legit cases. Important for community to pay attention.
After a suspected immigration arrest set off alarms Tuesday afternoon near the University of Washington campus in Seattle, police have confirmed that federal officials made the arrest on a warrant unrelated to immigration. Mayor Katie Wilson later confirmed the arrest was in connection to a criminal warrant.
@nullagent from what KUOW writes I wonder: did Wilson "confirm" by seeing a warrant, or did Seattle cops say they saw it, or is this just cop hearsay?
Hopefully we'll see a normal arraignment soon.
