Omg, this is a good one, Season 2 out today I think. I’ll let you read the review, it’s great. You’ll laugh, you’ll cringe…

“One of the first establishing shots in the show is of garbage cans with ACAB spray painted on them, which sets up an appropriately complex frame for the main character cops out of the gate. The show begins with two Indigenous teenage girls walking down a dark road to a deserted beach with exactly the kind of foreboding cinematography and musical score you’d expect at the beginning of a crime series. It plays with the expectation, so tragically grounded in the real-life experiences of missing and murdered Indigenous women, that one of them will be the victim, but instead Tammy Hampson (Leonie Whyman) trips over the dead naked guy, drops her cigarette, and sets his pubic hair on fire. It really sets the tone for the show.”

Deadloch Season 2 is pretty good. Still making me laugh!
And God damn, it's nice to see middle aged women just being ala carte without a lot of make up and styling, while being portrayed as bad-ass. So affirming.
@Pomegranatepirate I just finished How to Get to Heaven from Belfast and it was really good. I hadn't heard about Mystery: Deadloch but I'm going to check that out as soon as I finish season 2 of One Piece. It sounds amazing.
@ruemaleficent this was my second watch of Deadloch too, still a hoot, and hits all my murder mystery buttons too. I’m excited to hear How to get to Heaven From Belfast is also good, wooo. I’ve been off work recovering from a pulmonary heart issue that I’ll be figuring out, and it’s too hot midday right now, so a good series really helps. If you need humor, a bit of good hearted wrong, and good hearts Brassic is also really really good.
@Pomegranatepirate Thanks for the recommendations. I'm always in the market for something good to watch.
@Pomegranatepirate I'll pass along your kind words to Alex!
