New Testament Reading: #Romans 8:6-11

#Paul contrasts the way of life according to the #Spirit and according to the #flesh

Those who walk according to the flesh mind the things of the flesh; its mind is death and at enmity with God, not subject to God's law, and those in the flesh cannot please God.

Those who walk according to the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit; its mind is life and peace; they have the Spirit of God in them.

If Christ is in them, the body is still subject to death because of sin, but the spirit has eternal life in righteousness in Jesus.

If the Spirit of God who raised Jesus dwells in the Christian, God who raised Jesus will give life to the mortal body of that Christian through the same Spirit on the day of resurrection.
What is the encouragement or terror found in this passage for those who live according to the Spirit or according to the flesh?
