My install of #frescobaldi updated at some point and there is a nice new subtle feature in the 'new score' wizard: an additional checkbox under 'Create MIDI' output that gives you the option to create a separate `\score` block, which I often wind up doing myself so I can unfold repeats in the midi output but not the engraving #lilypond
I wonder if there's a best practice around attribution for stuff like this; like, I could put Elias Howe as the composer but then I think about all the stuff in the notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach that has since been determined to have been written by others, but persistently gets attributed to J.S. Bach anyway

aha! I searched for "ruffinhoff" and that led me to "Crosby's Irish Musical Repository," published 1813, which has this tune as "Mr. Grimgruffinhoff" (with an 'M') 👍

It has lyrics!
