According to data from maritime analysis firm Kpler, the Russian oil tanker Anatoly Kolodkin, under Western sanctions, is transporting 730,000 barrels of crude oil and is expected to arrive at the Matanzas terminal around March 23rd. The crossing comes amid a blackout on the island and new pressure from the United States: Donald Trump has stated he expects “the honor of taking Cuba” and has threatened tariffs against those supplying Havana.
