Spotted at PDX today: Boeing 737 MAX10 prototype #2 N27752 flying as Boeing 102 did a touch&go on Runway 28R at Portland International Airport #KPDX. Boeing test pilots flew it out of Boeing Field #KBFI. They also did touch&gos at Seattle-Tacoma #KSEA and Moses Lake #KMWH before coming to PDX. This is only the 2nd time I've seen a MAX10 in flight, first at PDX (previously at PAE in 2023.) FAA certification of the MAX10 is expected later in 2026. #B3XM #aviation #travel #avgeek #PNW
I was thinking of going to the airport to catch the MAX10 prototype. But I guessed correctly that Boeing test pilots were probably going to do a touch & go. And they're unpredictable which runway they'll use when they do that. It turns out I would have been set up at the other runway if I had gone there. It was better to stay home and get the view from the backyard. #aviation #avgeek #PNW
The previous and only other time I've seen a MAX10 in flight was Oct 16, 2023 at Everett Paine Field PAE. I was there to see the NASA DC-8 which took off next, for one of its last science flights before retirement. https://avgeek.social/@ikluft/111246357589283084 #aviation #avgeek
