Weekly Review – March 8–14, 2026 | Looking the Occupation in the Eye

A father, his wife, and their two children were shot dead in their car over the weekend in the village of Tamun by an undercover Israeli unit. Another Palestinian was killed in Qusra by masked settlers at the same location where activists from “Looking the Occupation in the Eye” were attacked about two weeks ago. The deaths this week add to six other Palestinian residents who were killed last week by settlers and uniformed personnel in the occupied West Bank. This unrestrained rampage by settlers and soldiers, while public attention is focused on the combined missile attacks from Iran and Lebanon on Israeli cities, benefits from the deliberate inaction of law-enforcement authorities in the occupied West Bank. The suspects in the attack on the “Looking” activists in Qusra were released by the court for lack of evidence. The suspects in the killing of a Qusra resident over the weekend were released after 24 hours. And why is there no evidence? Because evidence was not collected at the scene; because the police did not bother to gather the videos documenting what happened two weeks ago.
