Stupid question: I use #KeePass as my password manager of choice. I use it on my PC (I just love its Windowsforms design with a tree, also Dominik, the developer, cares about #Accessibility); and I use #KeePassium on the iPhone, also fully accessible.
I wish to have KeePass but for my family needs.
Ideas, anyone?

@menelion

Keepass really isn't built around multi-user use. For that, you want to look at something like Bitwarden.

@serge I hate its UI, to be honest. already thinking about writing a light client for it 😊

@menelion

In theory KeepassXC can be used by multiple people:

Depending on who the people are, their technical prowess, your infrastructure, etc. it might be okay.

Multiple Users - KeePass

@menelion

To separate purposes i separate kdbx file, one file by purpose, and share password with people having a role for the purpose.

I have a file for personnal matters, one for professional, one shared for family and some for customer's projects...
@artlog How do you share and sync, in OneDrive, ICloud or something else?
@menelion I love your loyalty to KeePass ! Have you checked out KeePassXC?
@Ashmorgan1 Not yet, but I've recently read about it again. I don't know whether it's accessible for screen reader users.
@menelion No worries! 😊 Accessibility is a big deal, so it's worth looking into.
@menelion If you're curious, you could try reaching out to the developers or checking their docs – might be worth knowing for future reference
@menelion It's cross-platform and might fit your family needs. Also accessible and has a nice interface.
@menelion О, знаю такой. Тоже пользуюсь уже хрен помнит сколько лет. Радует что простой, без всякого лишнего хлама.
@menelion What do you mean by family needs? Do you mean a KeePass safe that is used by the whole family?
@felixule Yes, in particular my wife and me. I'm responsible for keeping passwords, but currently it's kinda not convenient.
@menelion Couldn't you use a shared safe stored on a cloud storage service?
@felixule Yes, thinking of it now.
@menelion @felixule my husband and I do that and the password to it is also in our personal keepass
@menelion Do you mean a "Password Sharing" Option?
@RichieRich Yes, password sharing and something where my wife can easily go and grab passwords.

@menelion I've never tryed it out myself because I use my company's store Keeper for business and KeepassXC for my private passwords but I've heared good things about Vaultwarden, an Open source alternative to Bitwarden. I think this could fit your requirements.

heise.de/ct magazine has (unfortunally in German) an article about European password managers in there current edition. They also recommend Proton Pass, Passbolt and Psono.

@menelion we have a shared keepass file for which everyone has the password in their personal keepass files.

File is distributed via nextcloud, stuff just works(TM)
