GNOME 50: a MASSIVE release that delivers what users asked for!

@thelinuxexperiment it probably shouldn't bug me so much, but it REALLY bugs me that the windows are visibly lagging behind the mouse cursor when you move them
@bdf2121cc3334b35b6ecda66e471 @thelinuxexperiment why must you curse me with this knowledge
Now I cannot unsee it🥲
Can confirm that Xwayland apps do in fact scale look perfectly fine when using fractional scaling and scale at the same time
Also love the work on Orca. Very much appreciate how much it seems like Gnome cares about accessibility.
@thelinuxexperiment > what users asked for!
More than half the common settings one would need to change no longer requiring an extension that could break when Gnome 50.1 releases?
@thelinuxexperiment I still wait for the native icon tray
9:31 I reluctantly put my stone back down.... 😜
@thelinuxexperiment Thank you for the update!
@thelinuxexperiment I love GNOME! But will the version 50 finally put the cursor in the name of the file and not in the search bar when I save a document? That shouldn't be hard to change and is the only thing that actually annoys me in my daily usage.
It’s great to see how things are progressing. I’m looking forward to the update.

As a big KDE fan-blort, I want to say congratulations to all the Gnome contributors. This looks great! Personally I'm still very jealous of how clean and free of excessive borders Gnome has.

I hope that they'll expand the parental controls are expanded to include self restriction that can be incredibly useful for ADHD and other neurotypical folks to avoid excessive use of particular apps / features.
