Even in Germany, #hydrogen refuelling stations for cars are disappearing. This one is being demolished after only four years. It was erected with a subsidy of one million euros. Could we do a back-of-the-envelope calculation of the subsidy per kg #H2 dispensed?

Not to mention all the carbon emissions related to construction, cooling/pressurisation during operation, transporting the fuel, venting and demolition. Anyone advocating H2 for transport is anti-climate.

@burger_jaap plus the amount Toyota and others invested in H2 and the marker share they lost to BEVs because of it.

The death of H2 as a transport future people could promise on slides "The Hydrogen Economy!" can only help end claims that there's any reason to invest money in methane to H2 conversion plants "as an interim step". There may be some limited use of the gas, but we have enough solar and wind for that already
