@ScienceScholar So #UK has decided to move money away from #BlueSky research and into #AppliedScience research. That makes sense. #UK economy has to grow and the money is limited. Some priorities have to be set and some funding has to be cut.

The concern is that if #BlueSky research is cut how will new scientific breakthroughs happen, which will then flow into new #AppliedScience research.
