Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Saúde (Church Of Our Lady Of Health), Serpa, Portugal

Inside this Portuguese cemetery lies a Baroque gem. The old chapel had a gold-gilded altar and polychrome tiled walls. A small wooden door leads to a hidden ossuary, a place filled with ornate wooden caskets. The carved boxes containing bones are blanketed in dust. A hauntingly beautiful reflection on mortality.

@ObsidianUrbex Hi, some particular of the second pictures scared me... there is a big bone on the floor, and what is the white "thing" in the upper group of grave? it seems a drape with a person 😱
maybe is just my imagination

Aye that bone on the floor was a bit creepy! I think the white sheet is over one of the boxes rather than a body. The scale of the boxes is deceptive, they are quite small and not full coffin size ☺️
