I am finding it increasingly hard to care about technology
i guess this comes with moving into young adult territory
tbh i either don't care or 100% care about something, and not caring about tech is considerably healthier than giving myself a panic attack over an hour of downtime of my fedi instance

@privateger I've felt the same way for a while, and I'm middle aged.

I think it's the fact that all the cool advances tech was supposed to bring, is just a conduit to spy on us now.

@privateger from the book: you deserve a tech union "According to Franklin, this is to be expected. Specifically, she argues that when every technology—every technology—is first introduced to a society, it’s always heralded with enthusiasm, and with grand promises. But in effect, all that advocacy simply lays the groundwork for greater adoption. And as that technology continues to become more popular, it’s no longer a novelty—instead, it becomes expected. A necessity."
