Jesus will come to bring a sword, which he will then beat into a plowshare and send bears to maul you to death.

Jesus~ “I’m going to come back and murder everybody on Earth who doesn’t kneel to Me. The blood will be as high as a horse’s bridle! I will kill every last one of you.”

Christians~ “Jesus is peace and love!”

It’s all so ridiculous

“to each as any [have] need” sounds oddly familiar to anyone on the left. It would honestly make a great tattoo for a religious socialist

“But the women and the little ones, and the cattle and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies which the Lord thy God hath given thee.” ~Deuteronomy 20:14

As demonstrated in the Bible with regularity, it all depends on what you want to justify.

If the Magic Bird whispers in your heart “kill them all and take their stuff”, who are you to argue? Sometimes you’re Samaritan, sometimes you’re a Philistine.

Just like GOD, you were made in His image after all. Nothing is more God-like than hypocrisy! Yes, He also disparages hypocrites, while He’s hypocritical throughout. That’s the joke. The Bible is the ultimate expression of absurdity, and they will kill you over it.

I’m curious, not judging or attempting to start anything, just genuinely curious. People who write things like you have just written under any comment regarding religion, are you angry when you write them? I understand that religion is a sore subject, and it has caused a lot of anguish to people. But reading comments like you just wrote always comes across as angry to me. I’m just genuinely curious what the emotional state is when I read comments like that. Is it “attempting to warn the believers of their false beliefs?” Is it actual anger? Is it an attempt to convert the person to your way of thinking? Or perhaps maybe not that person, but whoever may read it next?

Personally, I think of religion as I think of anything else. A mixed bag, take the good, leave the rest. That mentality, I think, helps me not be angry when I see a comment where someone mentions religion in any way. So I don’t really understand the head space, and I would love to.

Christians will drill you full of New Testament at school and then get indignant when you expect them to abide by it.
Remind them that they don’t follow the New Testament, either. Allowing women to speak in church and teach, my word what a new age secular absurdity! I have the vapors
As depicted in the post, that’s because they want you to follow a different, contradictory, part of it.
