The #jdrama #GimbapAndOnigiri looks cute so far, with a Korean woman who is an animation major in Japan meeting a man who works at a small restaurant.

But only one episode per week?!? 😫

The #jdrama #GimbapAndOnigiri continues to be cute! Apartment hunting! Aquarium date! 🫠

And continues to only drop one episode a week. 😤

Again with a cute episode for #jdrama #GimbapAndOnigiri with communication lines crossed and delicious food on display.

A major clue this is a jdrama and not kdrama? Cultural expectations around sex!

#jdrama #GimbapAndOnigiri

They slept together and then Taiga gets all shy when she gives him a peck on the cheek?

Taiga's brother is such an ass. What a mean thing to say to anyone, especially your younger brother. "You haven't changed." Yeah, well, why would he need to? Was some aspect of him that bad that he needed to change?! Not everyone aspires to be an office drone.

D'aw, his boss was bragging about him to his market buddies and now introducing him to them. 🥰

The FL's emotions are immature but real. A lot of change and big life decisions happening for her at once. But she also isn't telling her boyfriend that. She seems to be more doubting herself than him, but that's causing the relationship to falter.

At the art museum, sitting next to each other, with him in front of a yellow abstract painting and her on front of a blue one: he is optimistic as his future career paths open up. She is the opposite.

#jdrama #GimbapAndOnigiri

D'aw, I appreciate how they are linking his past feelings of failure and not being supported to her current situation.

Ope, here I am all teary-eyed at this rainy night confession in a twinkle-lit old cable car. 🥹 These two are so good at knowing and speaking their emotions out loud. 🥹

The opening OST is #aespa and the closing OST is #NCTWish !

I love that Mom and Boyfriend have no idea what the other is saying, so he decides he's going to make her some gimbap. 🤤 And it is even the Park family recipe?

OMG this is ADORABLE. ADORABLE.

And now I'm crying.

#jdrama #GimbapAndOnigiri

Oh, I can see how that ending is contentious with others, much like the #kdrama #TwentyFiveTwentyOne ! And I loved both (including their endings)!

This was quite sweet. It showed how that young love changed both of them in ways that still mattered even after the relationship itself dissipated.

Yes, good.

@JillsJoy the end is bitter. Not because they didn't continue the relationship, it's more about the point of going so deep into their issues if at the end they don't overcome them.
And the final message is basically that long-distance relationships are doomed.
Not so great.

With 25-21 they grew apart and it was perfectly portrayed. I accept that ending.
In this case it wasn't.

@s1m0n4 ah, I disagree. 🙂 I think this also was about growing apart. I took the final message as a positive influence on both from the relationship, and that they both remember their time together fondly. I did not sense any bitterness when she ordered onigiri or when he said someone special to him taught him how to make gimbap. 🙂

@JillsJoy the ending was rushed.

We saw that they both fell asleep while waiting for the other on video call and then they both have a scene with a friend/acquaintance reminding them of the "ex". And that's how we come to know that they became exes.

No other context is provided. Personally I saw longing for both of them. They would still be together if they weren't living in different countries and I find it sad.
