Boyd Rice, Adam Parfrey, Michael Moynihan, and Nikolas Schreck used the underground music and publishing networks of their day to promote him and ultimately create Mason’s book Siege. Their linking of a radical cultural movement with explicit fascist politics, and subsequent denial of this as “playing with extremes,” clearly presaged the reactionary approach of 4chan and its spawn, who use the same playbook of “it’s just a joke”—when it clearly is not. Despite its highly individualistic ethos, since Anton LaVey first founded the Church of Satan in 1966—kicking off Satanism as a religious and philosophical tradition—it has been mired in Far Right views. LaVey’s early flirtations with National Socialism helped lead to an actual Nazi-Satanist current emerging in the early 1970s, which has ensconced itself as a permanent fixture in Satanism. Today, this current has become more popular than ever, as the Order of Nine Angles cross-pollinates with neo-Nazi terrorists, school shooters, and online child abusers.

@Nagaram This is the book Sunshine wrote about the period that goes from the death of George Lincoln Rockwell up to the early 2010s, but it leaves off the more recent Order of Nine Angles, 764 stuff
