I will not watch the Dune 3 trailer because I have learnt the lesson of Paul Atreides and do not want to see the future.
Like Paul before me my destiny was predetermined and I have now watched the Dune 3 trailer. It was on before Project Hail Mary. So my need to never walk into a film late placed me right where fate needed me in order to have me watch the Dune 3 trailer.
@Gte You’re like a Guild Navigator — you can see the future.
@Gte They played a bloody behind-the scenes reel for PHM while we were waiting for PHM to start. Daughter and I with our eyes closed and fingers jammed in our ears, singing “la la la” loudly, awkwardness be damned (and for the D3 trailer too, yeah).
@unsoluble Wow! That really stinks.

@Gte
I turned up the music on my AirPods and skimmed through my mastodon feed all through the trailers and ads until the movie started.

I’ve also decided I don’t care for Andy Weir’s work.

@freediverx Oh! I had fun at the movie. I thought it was well made. My ten year old enjoyed it too. Maybe I’d had different expectations?
@Gte
I had mixed feelings. It was entertaining, and Gosling was charismatic as ever, but I had trouble overlooking all the wildly implausible scientific plot points.
@Gte I am happy you got a little taste of Rob Pat’s Beavis era
