Bits&Terminal JeffI'm no expert on flyback transformers, but this little guy doesn't look so good (monitor is a TI 3046 from 1982, it was usually paired with a TI professional computer - a DOS PC that was somewhat but not completely compatible with the IBM PC).
Good news: for the first time I got an image on that TI 3046 monochrome monitor!
Bad news: the image was a single vertical line in the middle of the screen that was quickly getting brighter (switched it off within seconds)
So the horizontal deflection is dead. Tube may be okay-ish, but image has not come back after I switched it off. So I'm guessing multiple faults - there are two fuses and see seem fine to the eye, but I will check continuity. I'll probably have to take out the board to check for cracked solder joints, though I did already see some components that aren't in great shape so I may have to identify and order replacements.
