We’re delighted to share a newly published article in the ScienceDirect journal Computers & Education: X Reality, by Prof. Lukas Liu and colleagues of the HKU Faculty of Education:
“Mapping Evidence-Based XR Experiences in Archaeology Education: A Systematic Review”

This study explores the use of Extended Reality (XR), including VR and AR, in archaeology education. Through a systematic review of #empirical research, it examines the relationships between specific XR design elements and different learning experiences and outcomes, suggesting that meaningful learning in XR depends not only on immersive technology, but on thoughtful instructional design that supports disciplinary thinking and skills development.
