While being an #onlychild has ... had (its less exciting as an adult).. its advantages, one of the challenges I particularly struggle with is when something goes missing I am quite... unhinged. Like "frantically tear the house apart looking for it, can't do anything else until I find it". 'Cause, it would only be where __I__ last put it.. right? Not so when you share a house with a partner and kids.

So now I can't find the mix paddle for the breadmaker and now everything is HORRIBLE.

@tezoatlipoca Nah, that first thing is a universal. I, an only child myself, have it, and my partner, who is from a really large family, has it too.

There's something about misplacing thing that wounds the pride and the psyche all at once.
