I've dusted off the Official Jam-Filled Babbage Engine, blatted the Windows updates, and am trying to remember how the #BHPC race timing system works...

Unofficial session at Derby Velodrome on Sunday. Should be interesting, though the wrong kind of interesting for me after losing all my strength to a week of gastroenteritis.
Yeah, distinctly underwhelming performance by me, masked to some extent by the structurally modified bike (which hit 35mph without any hint of shimmy - with the disclaimer that turning right and significant braking remain untested). Finished the race with cramp in three different muscles, followed by a particularly ungraceful dismount.

Timing results are now up at
the usual place. No points for this one, as it's unofficial.

Cramp and such aside, it was great fun, and the enthusiasm from the velodrome staff was wonderful.. Hopefully we'll be able to drum up enough interest to run another session next year.

(Whatever photographic evidence there might be is hidden behind a Facebook login page, unfortunately.)

(I'm in the white streamliner, ran out of steam around lap 16 and spent the last three minutes mostly freewheeling while fighting with cramp.)
