Hmm... Emergency gadget functionality is a mixed bag.

The Shakelight works great, but the friction point in the switch has worn out, so had to use the light to find an elastic band to keep it working one way it the other.

UPS's model worked, but I shut most of them down in case this turns into an extended outage. The web server is still up, but apparently when I switched to Comcast Business 🤮 and put the router on it's own UPS, THAT one failed this time, so my site is down anyways 🤬

Naturally the emergency radio that I got from a #WKNO pledge drive had zero charge. I've had very bad luck with these dynamo + battery radios, but it didn't take much cranking to get the flashlight on this one working, and a few minutes more to get the radio to work, which is a pleasant surprise 💚

Now, I guess, it's Ice cream for dinner tonight... to prevent it from melting 😋 🍨

It looks like a pretty small outage by #Memphis #MLGW standards. They seem to think it's only 1120 users who are effected.

Woohoo! Power's back on, and more importantly heating... it's chilly out there, and in here, but not for much longer on the latter 🙂
