Introduction Within the State of Kansas, the westernmost portion is situated within a total of seven (7) counties, four (4) of which represent the Mountain Time Zone within the area. The three (3) counties not in the Mountain Time Zone are associated with the remainder of the State and are situated within the boundaries of Central Time.
