What apps do you guys use to access #mastodon on mobile?
Tim Brückner@chimpchomp I use @manfred_app. It's not perfect and currently lacks push notification support, but I developed the client myself, so I know what it does, and it's fun to use your own client! If you want to try it out, it's currently available for iOS, iPadOS and macOS for free.

@Yaiaou that’s one of the nice things about the fediverse. Since no one is trying to harvest your data there isnt this push to be constantly downloading mobile apps. So its rare for a social media network to have an actual functioning mobile website

🇨🇦@chimpchomp On iOS here, my primary app is #Metatext with Ice Cubes beside it for occasional user interface options.
@chimpchomp I used MetaText early in, then went to a couple of others and came back. It’s not perfect (but who among us is?!?) but it works for me. Once in a while something that doesn’t work like I want is made OK by an Ice Cubes fix.

@jeridansky toot does look good. Is it worth paying the 4.99 when there are other good free apps out there?
@chimpchomp I never mind paying for a good app; developers need to pay for housing, food, etc. just like everyone else. And I haven't seen free apps as good as those I pay for. Most have a free trial so you can see if they're really to your liking.
@jeridansky Very true, I shouldn’t take software for granted. A lot of blood sweat and tears go into that code
