Quds News NetworkWatch | Sitting alone with a phone in her small hands, Sham, the young daughter of slain Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif, records a video she believes will reach her father “in heaven,” speaking to him with innocence and longing as she dreams of the day they will reunite.
She tells him she wants to go out with him again, shop together, and relive the moments he once gave her.
Anas Al-Sharif, 28, was widely known for documenting the Israeli genocide in northern Gaza, reporting from the frontlines despite constant danger.
He was killed on August 10, 2025, when Israeli occupation aircrafts targeted a media tent outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, killing him alongside several fellow journalists, including Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Qreiqeh and multiple cameramen and freelance reporters.
