So I decided to change my information systems lecture for the business students at #fhaachen in the next summer term.

Currently, I'm planning to keep #BPMN, #ER-models, #DB normalization and add #SQL.

Besides that I'm planning to include these #AI topics (one week for each topic):

1. APIs and process automation with n8n
2. Fundamentals of AI and classical AI algorithms
3. Neural Networks
4. LLMs & prompting
5. Vector DBs, embeddings & RAG
6. Ethics of AI systems

Thoughts / suggestions?

Just reread this paper which my colleague Ingo (https://www.bigdata.fh-aachen.de/) reminded me of.

β€žWe will argue that even if ChatGPT is not, itself, a hard bullshitter, it is nonetheless a bullshit machine. The bullshitter is the person using it, since they (i) don’t care about the truth of what it says, (ii) want the reader to believe what the application outputs.β€œ

@ceedee666 Security like promo injections?
@Mianbsp good point. Will put this on my list of topics for the lecture.
@ceedee666 obviously c8run to execute BPMN (and DMN) directly (from 8.9 on w/ H2 in-mem DB, no more Elasticsearch 😬) https://downloads.camunda.cloud/release/camunda/c8run/8.9.0-alpha5/

@vobu Unfortunately, I will only be using the Camunda modeller this term. No BPMN and DMN execution on the Camunda engine.
@ceedee666 roger roger. Just giving you options :) I'm using c8run all the time, together with ollama and some-soon-to-be-revealed Camunda CLI, agentic-augmented and process-driven software development in flight mode (!) is actually a very well working thing πŸ€™
@ceedee666 Start with the ethics.
@rotnroll666 @ceedee666 Wilkommen auf meiner Dieser-Satz-sollte-ein-Sticker-sein-Liste.

What do you expect students to take away from 4-6?
@koehntopp I basically want to show some of the established technologies in the field and also show some of the limitations and problems (e.g. bias in the training data).
