Got a used ThinkPad to continue my Linux journey. It’s a P-series, so it’s a big heavy beast of laptop. Spent the weekend moving files and things over from my Mac.

My external monitor wouldn’t wake from sleep. Apparently, ThinkPads speak DisplayPort natively, but translate to HDMI. Switching the other connector at the end of my USC-C out from HDMI to DisplayPort fixed it. Luckily my monitor supports both. Confirmed the Mac can use the same cable, so ordered a new KVM switch with DisplayPort.

@joshtynjala I've been using Linux as a daily driver for over a year now, feel free to ask me any questions if you need help with something.
