Wiseguy 1x09 "The Marriage of Heaven & Hell" shout by RikerDonegal

Sonny kills Pat the Cat. I only saw this episode once, 38 years ago, and parts of it are burned into my psyche forever. It’s an astonishing hour of television. (And the next episode is even better!) Ray Sharkey does some of his best work here. Not only the murder itself, but earlier when Sonny tells Theresa (Martina Finch) the real reason he wants to marry her. It’s raw. Real. The casting for this arc is stellar. Nathan Davis, Joe Shea, Joe Dallesandro, etc. Only Crime Story had mobsters this convincing. _Fall 1987: CBS Thursday after Tour of Duty, before Knots Landing.
