Canada’s left coast. Not at the water’s edge but only a few kilometres away, and on a west facing rise atop a low-rise apartment, so I get a far amount of buffeting during the stormier periods. It was a cheap plastic rollup blind that had served well for several years but was probably starting to suffer weakening from the ultraviolet of the scorching afternoon sun it was put in place to intercept...
