4 #Democrats blithely voted NO to limit #Trump. Had they voted YES, the #WarPowers resolution would have passed.

Anyway, Congresscritters do get together and discuss how they are going to vote. Standard practice is the party says "we need x votes for this thing that'll make our donors happy but piss off our voters, who can afford to take a PR hit right now without getting voted off."

incidentally, this is in fact a "both sides" move. It is so commonly done that it is perfectly likely that these 4 Dems do, in fact, represent the party.

Until I see the rest of them up in arms about it and attacking those 4 instead of generic "aw shucks we tried" bullshit, I'm not going to be surprised either way

Oh boy, here we go. Biden was not in charge of the DOJ, he's not a tinpot dictator. Garland did go after Trump but prosecuting an ex president takes more than four years, so even if he started on day one, it was never going to happen before the election, anyone who tells you otherwise is lying or ignorant.

That said it's not like the only two choices were the white house or the big house, the American people, dummies, put Trump back in office.

The president should have nothing to do with the prosecution of wrongdoers. The #Congress, defined in Article 1, makes the laws. The #DOJ enforces them when the facts are clear.

Congress makes the law and funds the agency. The president is responsible to see that the DOJ has leadership. That's all. Not direction.

There is no evidence that #MerrickGarland even pursued #Trump's money trail to #Russia that #Mueller had painstakingly put together.

Mueller hid behind DOJ policy to not prosecute a president in office.
