From a Fediverse-shaped viewpoint, it seems inconceivable that the Trump administration hasn't been run out of town yet. Of course, when seen from a different filter bubble, everything is just peachy. 😑

So I've been wondering: would there be interest in a Fediverse bot that posts Fox News headlines from their RSS feed? Just to provide a bit of context for what Red America gets fed in terms of propaganda. Opinions?

"would there be interest in a Fediverse bot that posts Fox News headlines from their RSS feed?"

Abso-fucking-lutely not

I really don't understand why some people want to assume that other people are less well-informed than they apparently are

#FOXNews is neither news nor the source of any content that *I* need to keep up with, speaking only for myself

FOX News is pure Murdoch-Ailes-Carlson trash dreck

If FOX News appears in any #Mastodon feed I see, out comes the #BanHammer

#Mute, #Block, #DomainBlock if needed

Not entirely sure what you mean? Of course, everyone can individually read the Fox website if they want, but that feeds into their traffic numbers - a bot that's polling the RSS feed maybe hourly might enable people to keep track of their propaganda without pushing their metrics.

@floe

Fuck the metrics

It's the --> content <-- of FOX News that's the problem

Clearly you have no understanding of what FOX News *is* or what it's been saying for close onto 30 years

Lacking any substantive context into US political history (as so many Europeans seem to not have) FOX News is a deliberately designed disinformation system that is way beyond your capacity to filter
